At Eyesto Education Academy the welfare of both students and staff holds the most importance. We work hard to ensure that we provide an environment that is positive and healthy for everyone. Eyesto Education Academy has a designated Welfare Office who is available on site during the centrens opening hours. Victoria  is available for students and staff to approach with any problems or concerns they have.

Eyesto Education Academy understands how important it to keep all risks at a minimum leve. We ensure that annual risks assessments and conducted in all core areas of our business. We assess and monitor any potential dangers to staff or students and enure that we respond proactively to ensure that any identified risks are kept at a minimum level.

 

Cleanliness

 

To ensure our centre is clean and tidy at all times we have a contract with professional cleaners who come into the centre regularly. Before students attend the centre very morning a visual insection is done to ensure both staff and students have a clean and tidy environment to work in.


 

Fire Safety

 

The school is located within a commercial block and has a modern fire detection and alarm system. The alarm system is checked weekly and organised fire drills are conducted. All students and staff are briefed on the fire evacuation produced and a copy of the procedure is located in the office. To ensure that the prevention of fire all equipment is checked regularly in accordance to the UK law.   


 

First Aid

 

Eyesto Education Academy take the safety of both students and staff very seriously and has ensured that there will be a minimum of two full time members of staff who hold current and valid First Aid qualifications. There will always be at least one member of staff onsite during centre opening hours. 

We value everyone's cultural and gender sensitivity beliefs so there will always be a male and female first aider onsite. 

 

The Fist Aid equipment is regularly inspected and any products that are out off date are correctly disposed off. 

 

Safeguarding

 

All members of staff at Eyesto Education Academy hold a safeguarding certificate to ensure that they have a clear understanding of how to care for children and vulnerable adults and protecting them from harm. As per the safeguarding qualification they will cover the basics such as reminding a child to apply sun cream to ensuring that they are being taught in a suitable environment by the right people.

 

A Eyesto Education Academy we will always go the extra mile to make sure that all staff and students are safe and have a suitable environment to work in as we take are safeguarding responsibility very seriously. 

 

We also ask all host families to undertake safeguarding training and make appropriate changes. 

 

Higher lever staff will hold advanced safeguarding certificates to ensure that they have a wider understanding of safeguarding to ensure everyone is safe at all times.

 

Prevent

 

Eyesto Education Academy understands that individuals of any age can be drawn into terrorism or radicalisation therefore we understand and recognise are responsibility under the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015.  

 

Prevent is about safeguarding people and communities from the threat of terrorism. Prevent is 1 of the 4 elements of CONTEST, the Government's counter-terrorism strategy. It aims to stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism.

Eyesto Education Academy consists of students and staff from different ethnicities and we respect everyone's individuals culture and beliefs. 

 

Contract of Care

 

Prior to enrolling and student under the age of 18 we will consult their parent/ guardian and ask them to read, understand and sign consent forms including our Contract of Care. This will ensure that the parent/ guardian has a clear understanding of the level of care we will be providing for their child.
